There are several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks in the country which attracts tourists, vacationers, kids, families, wildlife enthusiasts, adventure enthusiasts, nature lovers, special interest tourists, ecologists, etc from all over the world. Sundebans, Ranthambhore, Sariska, Sasan-Gir, Bandhavgarh, Keoladeo Ghana, Dachigram, Kaziranga, Manas, Periyar, Kanha, Pench, Panna, Sultanpur, Dudhwa, etc are some of globally famous wildlife sanctuaries and parks in India. These destinations are well facilitated with jeep safari, elephant safari and hotels, lodges and wildlife resorts for excellent accommodation facilities.
There are many popular destinations for wildlife tours in India. In this article, I am giving brief but helpful information about my favorite wildlife destinations in India.
Ranthambhore National Park
It is located in Rajasthan, India. It is widely famous for its tigers along with other wildlife attractions like other animals, reptiles, birds and various species of plants. Major attractions in the park Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari, Tigers, Jogi Mahal, Ancient Banyan Tree and Ranthambhore Fort. Ranthambhore is a delight treat for the photographers as well as wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.
Keoladeo Ghana National Park
It is world famous bird sanctuary located in Rajasthan, India. It is a magnificent bird haven and paradise for birdwatchers. It attracts a large number of tourists with its wide variety of avifauna. Thousands of rare and highly endangered birds (such as Siberian Cranes) can be seen in this park during the winter season. The park is home to over 400 species of birds. Also the park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Must enjoyable activity in the park is rickshaw-ride which enables you to see the charm of avifauna in most enjoyable way. Sasan Gir National Park
Also known as Gir Vana or Sasan-Gir Vana It is a world famous lion sanctuary situated in the state of Gujarat. It is the only home of the pure Asiatic Lions. Other wildlife attractions in the jungle are Indian Leopards, Sloth Bears, Striped Hyenas, Indian Mongoose, Golden Jackals, Indian Palm Civets, Desert Rats, Spotted Deer, Blue Bulls, Four-Horned Antelopes, Wild Boar, etc.
Jim Corbett National Park
In my point of view it is the best destinations for wildlife holidays in India. This world famous national park is located in the state of Uttarakhand. The park is rich in its flora and fauna and never fails to lure its visitors. Corbett has been a favored destination and haunt for tourists and wildlife enthusiasts for a long time. Attractions of Corbett are Tigers, Leopards, Boars, Leopard Cats, Himalayan Black Bears, Indian Grey Mongoose, Sloth Bears, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer, Black Bucks, Jungle Cats, Fishing Cats, etc. Must enjoyable activity of Corbett is elephant safari. The park is a very popular destination of many popular wildlife travel packages in India.
Periyar National Park
Periyar is situated in the state of Kerala, South India. It is one of the most preferred destinations for Indian wildlife tours. It is home to large population of Indian elephants. Tourists can see herds of playful elephants on the banks of picturesque Periyar Lake. Periyar Lake is also a must visit attraction of Park. Tourists can take a boat ride over Periyar Lake to see the wildlife attractions of Periyar National Park. The park is very rich in its flora and fauna.

How to cook Meen Pollichathu? By Pearl Spot Fish locally called Karimeen. This fish is found in the coasts of Alleppey. Clean it and marinate with various spices like coriander powder, chilli powder, black & white pepper powder, rock salt, turmeric, ginger paste, garlic paste, etc. Now roast it. Then wrap it in banana leaf carefully. Now keep wrapped fish in a heated flat pan with some oil. Cook on low flame for 20 25 minutes. Now you delicious Meen Pollichathu is ready to it.
